With the arrival of summer returns the campaign "Toma nota, recicla vidrio", which is developed during the months of July and August throughout the Mediterranean coast promoted by Ecovidrio, a non-profit entity in charge of recycling glass in Spain.
The objective is to promote and facilitate the recycling of glass packaging and to educate about the importance of recycling to preserve the environment and fight against climate change.

And, of course, the campaign includes great prizes to encourage recycling.  recognition to the citys that improve the data of collecting glass to the same period of the previous year and five prizes for the most recyclable catering establishments.

Are you an innkeeper and are you participating in the campaign? Pay attention because you can win one of the five experiences we have prepared for you. It is a stay for two people of 5 nights on the Alicante coast and a visit to Quique Dacosta´s restaurant, three Michelin stars, to receive a master class with the chef and then enjoy a lunch.

If you want to participate and earn points you just have to follow some simple steps:

- Recycle all the glass of your establishment. 

- Register your establishment on the web www.tomanotareciclavidrio.es

- Encourage all your customers to vote for you. 

- Share our news in the social networks of your establishment.

This year "Toma nota, recicla vidrio" expect to achieve 10.500 establishments, with the collaboration of 91 cities. Through personalized visits, innkeeperss will be informed about the campaign and will be provided all the necessary material for recycling, such as containers adapted to catering professionals and special bins.

The numbers of the campaign gives an idea of the magnitude of the same: 42.000 visits of environmental educators to the establishments, installation of 600 containers and more than 4.780 special bins to transport the waste of glass containers. In addition, Ecovidrio will reinforce the frequency of collection to adequately manage the high influx of visitors and the increase in restaurant activity.
